Description

In recent years, digital transformation, together with other trends such as globalization and the War for Talents, has led to far-reaching changes in the global economy. One of the major consequences of digitization is the increasing proliferation of virtual collaboration, which poses new challenges and many changes, especially for supervisors.Technology is changing organizational structures and thus the context for leadership, at the same time offering new opportunities for communication and collaboration, and being able to take on certain leadership functions on its own. My dissertation deals with these interfaces between leadership and modern technology and aims to broaden the focus of research on virtual leadership.
