Arrhythmogenic right-ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) and Brugada syndrome (BrS) are two genetically determined cardiac disorders with a high risk for sudden cardiac death (SCD). In this subproject, we will investigate causal disease mutations, clinical course, and nuclear imaging techniques in both patient groups. Positron emission tomography (PET) will be applied with tracers that provide insights in cardiac innervation ([11C]HED, sympathetic system; [11C]MQNB, parasympathetic system) in these patients. The aim is to improve recognition of patients with arrhythmogenic risk by non-invasive methods (PET).
