Description

Inspired by the success and popularity of social media like Facebook or Twitter, organizations try to leverage the ideas of public social media to improve internal communication and collaboration. Companies increasingly introduce social collaboration platforms, such as Microsoft Yammer or IBM Connections, to facilitate global networking among employees and improve information exchange. However, many of those initiatives fall behind expectations as the success of the introduction depends on multiple, inter-dependent factors, such as organisational culture or the appropriation of the solution by individual employees. In this project we collaborate with the GAD eG in Muenster to bring these factors together and to develop a concept for the introduction of IBM Connections in the banking sector.
