Within the bounds of this interdisciplinary collaborative project between Information Systems, Communcation Sciences and Computer Linguistics, we develop methods to minimize the existing limitations of the time and cost-intensive content analysis of Social Media Content. Various types of Social Media are analysed using a prototype software and then structured on a macro level. An analysis of sentiments and the qualities of discourses which delivers insights into opinions and discourse dynamics on a micro level is extended by a combination of automated and manual procedures. By doing so, we are able to obtain new methodological insights into humanities and social sciences.
