Vergleichsarbeiten VerA 8 sind schriftliche Arbeiten in Form von Tests, die flächendeckend in Jahrgangsstufe 8 untersuchen, welche Kompetenzen Schülerinnen und Schüler zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt erreicht haben. Die Durchführung landesweiter Vergleichsarbeiten in allen Ländern der Bundesrepublik Deutschland ist Teil Gesamtstrategie der Kultusministerkonferenz zum Bildungsmonitoring.
