Greener and cheaper batteries containing fluorine-free binder in combination with ionic liquid based electrolytes

Abstract

The performance of LiFePO4-based electrode containing CMC as binder in combination with the ionic liquids N-butyl-N-methylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethansulfonyl)imide (PYR14TFSI) and 1-ethyl-3-methyl-1-H-imidazolium bis(trifluoromethansulfonyl)imide (EMIMTFSI) have been evaluated at RT. The obtained results in term on the specific capacity and the cycling stability are reported in this manuscript.
