Im Beitrag werden auf der Grundlage der Studie „Partizipation in Organisationskulturen der Heimerziehung“ (2019–2022) zentrale Ergebnisse zur Rolle der Organisation (Machtdynamiken, Hierarchien) im Hinblick auf die Umsetzung von Partizipation und Schutz vorgestellt und Implikationen für die Kinder- und Jugendhilfe(-politik) erläutert. Das Projekt wurde von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) gefördert und fand unter der Leitung von Claudia Equit und in Mitarbeit von Antonia Finckh und Julia Ganterer statt.
