The Cells-in-Motion Cluster of Excellence is a network of researchers from the life sciences and natural sciences as well as mathematics and computer science. We investigate how cells move and behave in organisms. To this end, we use and develop innovative imaging methods. Our research area represents a core area of the University of Münster's research profile and is strengthened in a sustainable way by corresponding structures: The Cells in Motion Interfaculty Centre, which is a central research institution of the University, will continue the concept of the Cells-in-Motion Cluster of Excellence which has been funded since November 2012 and will continue through October 2019. In our central research building – the Multiscale Imaging Centre, which is currently under construction – core professorships will be housed under one roof. All scientists interested in the topic at the University of Münster and at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine in Münster can take advantage of offers from our research cluster and contribute to designing projects.
