Timely Information in Medical Emergencies (T.I.M.E.)

Basic data for this project

Type of projectEU-project hosted at University of Münster
Duration at the University of Münster01/03/2016 - 28/02/2019

Description

The overall goal of the project is to improve the quality, safety and efficiency of emergency care through innovative and user oriented information and communications solutions. Therefore, it will be evaluated how the process of creating and reading of validated emergency datasets could be optimized and what benefits can be expected using the emergency dataset. Additionally, we will examine how availability of relevant emergency data can be assured for patients which possibly have no electronic health card (e.g. privately-insured patients) to decrease lack of information. In a second subproject a marketable concept for telematics assistance in shock room care shall be developed and evaluated to enable local and regional trauma centers getting assistance by supra-regional trauma centers. Thus, the currently existing difference in quality shall be reduced and high-quality and specialized care for severely injured patients shall be established region wide.
