About the award

The Union of the European Phoniatricians (UEP) is an association for all physicians who are active in phoniatrics as well as colleagues in training in phoniatrics. UEP is a platform for exchange of expert knowledge, clinical experience and scientific work in this area. UEP promotes the cooperation of phoniatricians in Europe, its neighbouring countries and those countries who have put the European model of phoniatrics into practice. The European Union of Hearing Aid Acousticians (EUHA) is an association for all persons working in the hearing aid sector for the benefit of people with impaired hearing. The association aims at bringing together hearing aid acousticians, scientists and laymen, who want to take part in specialised further education and vocational training. In 2013 the European Phoniatrics Hearing EUHA Award was inaugurated as a UEP award sponsored by EUHA. This award was granted for the first time in occasion of the 27th UEP Congress in Moscow.
