- Modern PapacyForschungs im DFG-Projekt "Die Legionen des Papstes II.: Eine Fallstudie zu sozialer und politischer Transformation" (Leitung: Prof. Dr. Mariano Barbato). Forschungsarbeit zur strategischen Kommunikation des modernen Papsttums in der öffentlichkeit, mit Schwerpunkt auf der Analyse von Sprech; (Searle) und Bildakten (Bredekamp), insbesondere digitaler Medien (Instagram, Twitter, YouTube) und öffentlicher Berichterstattung (deutsch; und englischsprachige Zeitungen). Forschung zu den diplomatischen Beziehung des Heiligen Stuhls.
- The Power of Pictures and WordsForschung zur Macht öffentlich inszenierter Kommunikationsakte und ihrer Fähigkeit zur Massenmobilisierung. Beinhaltet Theorien verbaler (Austin, Searle) und nonverbaler Kommunikation (McNeiil) zur Analyse interpersonaler Kommunikaiton als Instrument politischer Inszenierung.
