Research Focus

  • Functional Network Dynamics and Computational Closed-Loop Interfaces
    My research operates at the intersection of translational medicine, advanced optical physiology, and computational neuroscience. Aiming to decode the functional architecture and plasticity of neural networks in both healthy and pathological states, I combine medical expertise with a strong foundation in computer science. Methodologically, I focus on in vivo multiphoton microscopy combined with virtual reality (VR) environments to map plasticity, learning behavior, and resilience in preclinical disease models. Building on this, I develop experimental closed-loop systems: using custom, high-performance algorithms, I link real-time calcium imaging with precise optogenetic interventions to directly read and modulate neural activity.
