Description
Digital Transformation, together with other trends such as globalization and the War for Talents, has led to far-reaching changes in the global economy in recent years. One of the most important consequences of digitization is the increasing prevalence of virtual collaboration, which poses new challenges and many changes, especially for executives. Technology is changing organizational structures and thus the context of leadership, but at the same time it offers new opportunities for communication and collaboration and can also take on certain management tasks itself. My dissertation deals with these interfaces between leadership and modern technology and aims to expand the focus of research on virtual leadership.
