Evidence of interactional behavior in counseling is still rare in adult education. There is a lack of knowledge about how interaction takes place during the counseling process. This is why the study tries to examines the interaction of the actors during the counseling process by means of videointeraction analysis. The research object is the theoretical construct of a working alliance. The following research questions are formulated: In which forms, actions and sequences is the interaction constructed in the counseling practice? Which counseling actions contribute to the establishment of a working alliance? The research field of the study is a job-related coaching.
