Abstract
Molecular genetic studies conducted in the past 2 decades have significantly contributed to our understanding of the genomic architecture underlying the genetic susceptibility for cardiovascular diseases. My presentation will touch aspects relating to the (epi)genetic landscape of monocytes in sterile inflammation and CAD/MI as well as the transcriptional landscape of the myocardium. A particular focus will be on the role of non-coding RNA species and the local genomic architecture in CAD/MI, atrial fibrillation and heart failure.Keywords: Epigenetics; Cardiovascular; Disease
