Abstract
Ever since the turn of the millennium, the developments and trends in anglophone Young Adult Fiction appear to increasingly reflect current global issues such as political injustice, human (and, hence, children’s’) rights, the dangers and opportunities of digitalisation and environmental issues. This workshop will outline developments within the field of YAfiction, give suggestions which novels might be suitable for the EFL classroom and offer an intertextual and multimodal approach to encourage language, literary and cultural learning, while inviting young adult students to actively participate in and reflect on cultural and literary learning.Speakers from the University of Münster
