Abstract
Keywords: The presentation was held in the congress' section on the philosophy of artifacts and technology. It was dedicated to the question: 'What is a work of theatre?'. Two main theses were put forward and justified:
1) In the field of theatre, it makes sense to stick to the concept of a work.
2) In view of the diversity of modern theatre works, the classical concept of staging (mise-en-scène) needs to be expanded and differentiated.
