Abstract

The effectiveness of sales and operations planning (S&OP) is challenged in current uncertain business environments. Therefore, integrating supply chain risk management activities into S&OP is suggested. Particularly, the integration of risk monitoring is considered promising but still under-researched. Within this context, this paper aims to investigate how risk monitoring can be integrated into S&OP. To achieve this goal, semi-structured interviews with 16 S&OP experts are conducted, leading to an enterprise architecture model evaluated through a case study with two firms. The model can guide practitioners in realising this integration while considering the firm’s specific contexts.
