Abstract

Katharina Morik is one of the leading experts in Ger- many on artificial intelligence (AI). Her work culminated in the collaborative research center (CRC) 876, a long- term and large-scale research program funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), on resource-aware machine learning including applications in healthcare. This interview looks at her experiences with combining machine learning and healthcare applications and the lessons she came away with.
