Abstract

The digital transformation is expected to fundamentally change companies´ supply chains. To prepare for continuous change, it is beneficial to identify necessary capabilities to adapt supply chains accordingly. However, this research area is still novel and not sufficiently covered in academia. Especially practitioner´s experiences can be valuable for exploring what capabilities enable and support the digital transformation of supply chains. Therefore, data is gathered with semi-structured expert interviews. As a result, this paper offers a framework presenting nine identified capabilities that are qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed and critically discussed.
