Abstract

The amount and diverse nature of simulation approaches in the humanitarian logistics research has increased significantly in the recent years. In order get a better understanding of the existing simulation paradigms and their added value for different application cases, we have executed a systematic literature review according to vom Brocke et al. (2015). The results provide a structured overview of the state of the art and allow for a better identification of promising matches between specific simulation approaches and humanitarian logistics functions.
