Encephalitis with autoantibodies against the N‑methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDA-R) is the most frequent autoimmune encephalitis syndrome presenting with acharacteristic sequence of psychiatric and neurological symptoms. Treatment necessitates a close interdisciplinary cooperation.
