Abstract

In this collection renowned scholars from different disciplines and different religious backgrounds respond to Perry Schmidt-Leukel’s novel approach to the understanding of religious diversity as displaying fractal structures. In the present chapter, Schmidt-Leukel gives a brief account of his theory and discusses its impact on religious studies and interreligious theology. In diesem Sammelband befassen sich renommierte Wissenschaftler unterschiedlicher Disziplinen und mit unterschiedlichem religiösem Hintergrund mit Perry Schmidt-Leukels neuartiger Interpretation religiöser Vielfalt, wonach sich in ihr fraktale Muster zeigen. In diesem Kapitel gibt Schmidt-Leukel eine Kurzfassung seiner Theorie und diskutiert ihre Relevanz für Religionswissenschaft und interreligiöse Theologie.
