Research article in edited proceedings (conference) | Peer reviewedFinancial service providers cope with an increasing amount of regulatory requirements causing a need to change IS systems, especially data warehouses and reporting applications. As there is no clear insight into the influence of regulation on the data warehouse (DWH) engineering process, a case study from the financial industry are conducted. Therefore, our research contributions are threefold. First, we provide an insight into regulatory-driven DWH development processes. Second, we can show that all DWH engineering phases differ if the project is triggered by regulatory requirements. Third, based on our findings, we derive a research agenda in order to address current shortcomings of research in this field.
