Geo-Processes and Properties Observed by Sensors: Can We Relate Them?

Abstract

This paper introduces an ontology-based approach to relate propertiesobserved by sensors to geographical processes and events. We use the basiccategories in DOLCE to classify them. We illustrate our approach with examplesfrom the surface hydrology domain.
