Research article (book contribution) | Peer reviewedFrom burying our heads in the sand to rushing into action without thinking, many of the social and personal responses to the crises of our time are emotional reactions that show how difficult it is for us to deal with feelings of fear, powerlessness and anger. At the same time, these reactions are also shaped by the same patterns that cause these crises – and thus reinforce them. Regenerative approaches, on the other hand, which remind us of the interconnectedness of all living beings and contribute to the preservation and development of our life on Earth, can help us to “compost” and transform, and enable us to face the world and ourselves with a cool head, a warm heart and an open hand.
