Abstract

The realisation of sales and operations planning plans is increasingly challenged in uncertain environments, requiring firms to adapt their supply chain planning. While a closer linkage with operational planning and execution is considered beneficial, research on achieving this remains scarce and fragmented. This paper addresses this gap by offering a framework guiding vertical alignment in uncertain environments. The goal is achieved through a systematic literature review and presents applicable interventions and, thereby, contributes to theoretical understanding and practical implementation.
