Abstract

LGBTI+ refugees who were granted asylum because of persecution in their countries of origin based on their sexuality or gender identity still lack a sense of security in Denmark. In Denmark, permanent residence permits are hard to obtain, and refugees must reapply for a new temporary residence permit every year or two. The panel features LGBTI+ refugees sharing their experiences with living in this uncertainty, along with PhD scholars discussing their research on this.
