Abstract

The subject of this book is the implementation of children{\textquoteright}s rights in residential care, how participation and complaints processes were implemented in everyday life in the living groups, but also how children and young people were silenced, devalued and not listened to. This is why we will also report on children{\textquoteright}s and young people{\textquoteright}s experiences of victimization in this book. The latter in particular can act as a trigger and activate existing trauma. In the abstract of each chapter, we provide a trigger warning if victimization and/or violence is the topic of the contribution.
