Die Kooperation zwischen Münster und Taschkent wird seit 2004 als Germanistische Instituts-Partnerschaft (GIP) durch den DAAD gefördert. Im Zentrum der GIP steht vor allem ein reger Austausch von Wissenschaftlern und Studierenden in beide Richtungen.
