Description

The project is settled in the area of ITSM, more precise in that of Data Centre Service Management and aims at developing a tool which makes it possible to map abstract organisational goals to concrete measures using a goal hierarchy. Moreover, this tool shall be developed in a way to be adoptable for different companies. Therefore, it is of highest importance to develop a flexible model which shows a) the relevance of (sub)goals b) what measures influence goals c) under what circumstance a measure can be classified as "good" and d) how different measures and subgoals can be aggregated. Building on this, a prototype was realised, which supports the modelling of measures and goal hierarchies to allow for profound statements regarding the satisfaction of organisational goals to be made. The project was conducted in cooperation with noventum, a local IT management consultancy, which has been voted best SME employer of Germany (http://www.greatplacetowork.com/ what_we_do/lists-de.htm) and who offer a variety of services ranging from Financial Future Management to Business Intelligence and Data Integration to IT Service Management (ITSM).
