Project-related exchange with Hungary

Description

The ITM public law department arranged an exchange together with the Hungarian Centre for info communication law of the legal institute of the Hungarian academy of science (IJC) supported by the German Academic Exchange Service in Budapest. This project mainly focused on the analysis of different national approaches which intend to regulate the information and communication sector. In the course of this program a delegation of the ITM travelled to the IJC to Budapest in 2007 and 2008. The ITM was offered the opportunity to learn a lot in numerous conversations with people from different Hungarian institutions. Dr. Jóri, the Hungarian data protection commissioner, talked with the ITM about data privacy laws and freedom of information laws. Six delegations from Hungary visited the ITM in return.
