CRC TRR 61 B08 - Tubular molecular surface nanostructures

Basic data for this project

Type of projectSubproject in DFG-joint project hosted at University of Münster
Duration at the University of Münster06/06/2008 - 31/05/2012 | 1st Funding period

Description

Large-scale three-dimensional (tubular) and surface organic molecular nano-patterns will be fabricated in this project using an UTAM (ultra-thin alumina membrane) surface nanopatterning technique. The UTAM-prepared ordered surface nanostructures will be used as the starting materials for self assembly processes leading to molecular surface patterning. The large patterning area and the controllable structures of the tubular molecular nano-patterns, which originate from the UTAM surface nano-patterning, will lead to enhanced luminescence and controllable optical properties of the functionalized nano-patterns.
