Description

The interdisciplinary project concerning anti trust law and policy matters in the area of internet economy is established since the end of 2003. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research and Technology and focuses especially on the different aspects of hybrid forms in online and offline matters. The aim of this project is to identify the standards that need to be met because of legal and economic reasons for future oriented anti trust laws concerning internet economy and its hybrid ways of organisation and utilisation. The currently existing hybrid structures and forms of utilisation of internet economy are being analysed in close cooperation between lawyers and economists under anti trust as well as economic viewpoints. In addition to the analysis of national and European law relevant and applicable in Germany the project partners also scrutinize under comparison of law the internet economy rules especially in US anti trust laws and their possible transferability into German law. Substantiated legal and economic conditions for anti trust laws that comply widely with the demands of internet economy can be named in result of this project.
