Description

Within the EC funded project GENESIS ("GENeric European Single Information Space for environment") a web based solution for integrating open and collaborative information networks into existing system is developed. A special focus is put on global standardization activities and on the cooperation with other EU harmonization initiatives. The resulting use case independent framework will be customized for several thematic fields and validated in practical scenarios ranging from air quality to fresh and coastal water quality. The main activities of the SWSL group within the project comprise the sensor web architecture, sensor discovery and concepts and algorithms for event based architectures.
