Description

The research project focuses on the onset, development and social control of delinquent and deviant action styles of juveniles over the adolescent and early adult life-course. The general research hypotheses refer to a structural dynamic model outlined in the initial proposal. Data for the substantial variables of this model have been repeatedly collected during the periods of the initial and subsequent proposals (2002 to 2015). Thus, annual cross-sectional and prospective panel data is available for criminological longitudinal research over a period of fourteen years for the proceeding study in Duisburg (2002 to 2015, average ages 13 to 26). Beginning with age 20, data collection changed to a bi-annual mode. During the current application period the twelfth and thirteenth wave of data collection are to be conducted in 2017 and 2019 (age 28 and age 30).
