Gegenstand des Projektes ist die ethnographische Untersuchung der Sakralisierung der Stimme in muslimischen und hinduistischen Praktiken in Gujarat (Indien), ihre Beziehung zu Texten, audio-visuellen und digitalen Medien sowie zur Rolle der Stimme in rituellen Praktiken des Heilens von psychischen und anderen Krankheiten.
