History of Logic Diagrams in Kantianism (HLDK)

Basic data for this project

Type of projectIndividual project
Duration at the University of Münster01/07/2022 - 30/06/2024

Description

The project aims, on the one hand, to revise the unfounded thesis that the philosophical logic of Kantianism in the 19th century has no relevance to logic today, and, on the other hand, to take a first comprehensive look at the various social groups that formed in 19th-century German-speaking Kantianism to discuss certain systematic topics within diagram-based logic. The research question of the project can thus be divided into a systematic (S) and a historical (H) orientation: (S) What were the innovative ideas within the diagrammatically oriented logic of Kantianism in.19th-century German-speaking philosophy? (H) How can the social groups that jointly pursued logic in Kant's tradition be classified?
