CRC 1348 B06 - Cell-cell interactions controlling organ shape

Basic data for this project

Type of projectSubproject in DFG-joint project hosted at University of Münster
Duration at the University of Münster01/01/2018 - 31/12/2021 | 1st Funding period

Description

Using zebrafish primordial germ cells (PGCs), we will study the cellular interactions that contribute to the developing gonad. The proposed project focuses on the identification of cell populations the PGCs interact with. In addition, we will identify molecules expressed in the environment and in the PGCs, molecules that are involved in the interactions leading to stable positioning of the cells within the developing organ.
