CRC TRR 128 A11: MOG Antibody-Induced CNS Demyelination: from Specificity to Function

Basic data for this project

Type of projectSubproject in DFG-joint project hosted at University of Münster
Duration at the University of Münster01/01/2021 - 30/06/2024 | 1st Funding period

Description

IgG antibodies (Abs) specific for central nervous system (CNS) antigens such as myelin oligodendrocytes glycoprotein (MOG) are considered crucial effector molecules in some patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and related diseases. In the proposed project, we will characterize structural requirements for immune recognition of human MOG and determine IgG-Fc biophysical profiles and effector functions linked to in vivo pathogenicity of human MOG-Abs.
