Our Collaborative Research Centre promotes training of a new generation of scientists at the interface between disciplines, e.g. between natural sciences (Interdisciplinary Scientist) or between natural sciences and clinical medicine (Clinician Scientist). This includes multiple career modules accessible at all career stages that enrich traditional career paths for natural scientists and physicians. Our Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG) will convey technological and scientific aspects of multiscale imaging in an interdisciplinary context. Doctoral researchers of the CRC are provided with structured training and receive qualified, individually tailored support for their imaging-based thesis projects, preparing them for early scientific independence and for strategic career development. Besides specific training modules, practical courses and lecture series will be offered, pertaining to optical and preclinical imaging technologies, probe (bio)chemistry and computational aspects of multiscale imaging.
