CRC 1009 A10 - Molecular regulation of endothelial barrier function

Basic data for this project

Description

The barrier function of the endothelium is critically required for physiological processes in different organs of the healthy organism and, conversely, disruption of the endothelial barrier is a hallmark of many disease processes. Here, we propose to investigate how the transcription factor Yin Yang 1 (YY1), an important regulator of gene expression and chromatin organization, controls EC behavior and endothelial permeability in the central nervous system and in bone in a comparative fashion.
