The aim of this study is to use high-precision W isotope measurements on terrestrial and lunar samples to better assess the timing of late accretion relative to the formation of the Moon and to shed new light on how the late veneer was distributed within the Earth. On the basis of our new data we will ultimately address the fundamental issue of whether all previously generated chemical and isotopic heterogeneities in the Earth's mantle have been erased through the giant Moon-forming impact.
