According to our plan, all texts which were printed under the name of Johannes Bugenhagen in 1525 and 1526, are to be edited, as well as those texts which were probably written by Bugenhagen or (falsely) ascribed to him as an author. An important part of the WittenbergReformation and its influence in Northern Germany, in Upper Germany and in Europe will thus be documented. The edition is aimed at scientific demands of theologians, historians and linguists. At the same time however it is to inform non-professionals who are interested in the personality and work of Johannes Bugenhagen. Editing follows the guidelines set out in detail in Vol. 1, [xii]-xxii.
