CRC 1348 B05 - Localized FGF-receptor signaling controls differentiation of wrapping glial cells

Basic data for this project

Type of projectSubproject in DFG-joint project hosted at University of Münster
Duration at the University of Münster01/01/2018 - 31/12/2021 | 1st Funding period

Description

This proposal will determine how the extent of glial wrapping is regulated by the activity of the FGF-receptor Heartless and unknown membrane associated proteins. Here we want to decipher how glial differentiation is orchestrated at the axon-glial interface. We will determine the role of localized FGF-receptor activity and seek to identify membrane proteins required during the glial wrapping process.
