Description

In this proposal we combine experimental and numerical approaches to analyze the detailed mechanisms for lateral membrane segregation through protein-lipid interactions in the yeast plasma membrane. We will further push the limits of complexity in existing numerical approaches to obtain the underlying thermodynamic contributions which drive the segregation of lipids and proteins in multi-component membranes.
