CRC 1348 - A12: Integrin Subtype-specific Organization and Force Transduction

Basic data for this project

Type of projectSubproject in DFG-joint project hosted at University of Münster
Duration at the University of Münster01/01/2026 - 31/12/2029 | 3rd Funding period

Description

This project will investigate how distinct cell adhesion interfaces sense mechanochemical signals at the plasma membrane and transmit them to the nuclear envelope to modulate nuclear mechanotransduction. Experiments will employ various molecular force-sensing technologies, single-cell transcriptomics and real-time imaging of transcriptional kinetics to uncover communication principles between plasma membrane and the nucleus and assess the impact of this communication on cell state regulation.
