The network addresses the growing engagement with diversity currently evident in various societal domains. While organizations are developing various strategic measures for dealing with diversity under the banner of "Diversity Management," the relationship between excellence and diversity is a central topic of discussion in academia. However, it remains unclear what exactly can and should be achieved through specific measures. The academic discourse on diversity is itself characterized by a wide range of voices, with diverse disciplinary, theoretical, and methodological perspectives. The network aims to foster greater exchange among these perspectives. The research network "Modes of Organizational Diversity: Theory, Empiricism, and Practices" aims to systematize and advance both disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives on diversity and organizations, as well as to foster exchange between social science research on diversity and organizational studies. Through this, the network seeks to strengthen the German contribution to international debates on diversity and organizations and to further develop diversity-sensitive organizational research in German-speaking regions.
