CRC 1450 - INF: Research data management and infrastructures for visualization, analysis and sustainable software development

Basic data for this project

Type of projectSubproject in DFG-joint project hosted at University of Münster
Duration at the University of Münster01/01/2025 - 31/12/2028 | 2nd Funding period

Description

We aim to establish a university cloud-based storage platform and database and implement research data management workflows from ingest to long-term availability. We will provide a close integration with the university's central HPC for compute-intensive data analysis, especially for machine learning. In addition, we will establish a state-of-theart GitLab/DevOps software development environment to accommodate a common framework architecture for the visualization and analysis methods developed and used in the CRC to ensure their sustainability, reuse and transferability. Finally, we will create a unifying visualization environment and focus on user experience (UX), easy and secure data sharing, performance-optimized remote computing and assisted report generation.
