Der jährliche Forschungspreis Technische Kommunikation wird der herausragenden wissenschaftlichen Leistung im Themenkreis "Mensch und Technik in Kommunikationssystemen" nach einer eingehenden Begutachtung der Einsendungen durch Entscheid des Kuratoriums der Alcatel-Lucent Stiftung zuerkannt. Der thematische Rahmen ist weit gefasst, um den interdisziplinären Aspekt des Preises zu betonen. Der Preis ist mit 20.000 Euro dotiert.
